Proceduroidvania is an early prototype of a proceduraly generated metroidvania game. The algorithms to generate the connection between the levels is based on the Joris Dormans PhD thesis.

You can move around and appreciate how the scenes are interconnected. All the connections and key placements are procedurally generated. If you want to try another connections just refresh the page and a new one will take place. You goal is to get to scene 3. Enjoy :D

Neat concept.  Could you expound on the Joris Dormans thesis, maybe even in the game itself?  Thanks for making this game available.
